Pan-Fried Brocoli

With the exception of AP week, I have actually stuck to my new year's resolution to be healthier pretty well! Dancing 3 hours a week has definitely helped, especially with going on pointe. Even with all that being said, I do have to make a conscious effort to include vegetables in my diet (because, quite frankly, I don't like them). Even simple, quickly prepared veggies provide the nutrients that your body needs.
What you need:
1 Head of Broccoli
1 Clove of Garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon of Butter
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil

1)Heat butter and oil over medium-high heat.
2) Add Garlic to pan and let cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute
3) Add broccoli to pan, cook for about 5 minutes (or to desired doneness)
4) Serve! This broccoli comes out really nice and buttery, and the garlic makes it out of this world. It's shown above with some spaghetti made with jarred sauce and hamburger meat, but it would pair well with grilled chicken, steaks, or fish also!
